What Our assistant Managers Do
Being a member of the Front of House Team at a Fine and Country Inns establishment pivots on excellent guest experience and reaching expectations. As a representative of the venue, our goal is to look after all customers’ needs and to deliver a consistently exceptional experience for every customer. As a Front of House Manager, you must represent the company’s high standards of personal presentation and behaviour at all times and ensure all Team Members are adhering to all responsibilities and expectations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
These duties and responsibilities are in addition to those outlined in the FOH Team Members description:
- Delegating to and over-seeing the work of Front of House Team
- Display and use expelmary knowledge of Food and Beverage service
- Working with the manager to make sure all due diligence and compliance is completed daily/weekly
- Respond appropriately with staff reviews and feedback
- Work with the GM to drive sales and actively participate in business development
- Help deliver In House Training in key service areas
- Counting the float in the mornings and cashing up in the evenings
- Opening the venue in the mornings, ensuring the venue is presentable and ready for service and closing the venue in the evenings
- Dealing with any negative guest experiences in a professional manner and reporting back to management
- Make sure all due diligence and compliance is completed daily/weekly, reporting any maintenance issues to the GM
- Be familiar and competent in operating the fire alarm system and testing
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
- You are required to complete all legally compliant online training prior to your first shift, as per CPL training
- Additional courses will be required to be passed within your first month of working at the venue
- The online training is designed to develop your own skills and knowledge and it is encouraged for you to complete other trainings
- In House training organised between yourself and the GM
- An opportunity to undertake WSET Level 1 & 2 and Coffee excellence school
Opportunity to participate and enrol onto NVQ courses
EXPECTATIONS
- Represent the company’s high standards of personal presentation and behaviour at all times
- A positive attitude to teamwork, contributing to the smooth running of the venue and interacting productively with other departments
- Maintaining the standards and culture of the team by setting an example to new members of staff and assisting in their training when required
- To perform any other ad hoc duties by reasonable request of the General Manager
- Report for duty, punctually, wearing appropriate work attire
- Observe the company’s fire plan and health and safety policy
- Observe all rules and procedures of the company

Salary: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
