Assistant Management Accountant

Salary up to £25-30k depending on experience + Study support + 25 days holiday plus bank holidays + life insurance + tonnes of other benefits!

The role

To support the management accounting team in providing management reporting to the business including month end journal processing, management accounts reviews with analytical support and balance sheet reconciliations.

Key accountabilities

• Delivery of financial management reporting to Group and company timetables both for recurring and ad hoc requests.
• Responsible for reviewing and posting of revenue accruals. Ensuring accruals are accurate and performing checks for SOX compliance.
• Responsible for processing GRNI at month end, ensuring the report is complete and reviewing accrual aging.
• Responsible for haulage accruals for both revenue and cost alongside profitability analysis.
• Support the Finance Business Partners and wider finance team with variance analysis of month end results and providing supporting analytical information.
• Delivery of accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations, with detailed analysis and aging, clearly identifying any risks or opportunities.
• Ownership of inventory reconciliations and liaising with Operations and depots to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• To work in a safe and sensible manner within the boundaries of the Company Health and Safety Policy and any additional site restrictions.

Skills & experience

• Strong excel.
• At least two years working in a comparable role.
• Possibly part qualified but experience more important.
• Ability to work effectively with internal and/or external customers
