The Role…
The Assistant Management Accountant position is a replacement of current post-holder who plays an important part in the Finance/Commercial Team of 7. This role will sit in our UK Finance team for our Design & Development division, reporting to the Finance Director and will have an opportunity to be involved in a variety of work across a wide spectrum including balance sheet management, statutory returns and etc. Expect fast-paced working dynamic within a vibrant and relaxed working environment. This role will also work closely with our friendly and creative designers and procurement team to expand their experience in finance management in Design and Build industry.
Main Duties…
- Weekly update in Cashbook
- Weekly Bank reconciliation (Sage 200)
- Weekly Staff expenses claims (Concur)
- Monthly Credit Card reconciliation
- Quarterly VAT Return
- Monthly CIS Return (Construct)
- R&D tax knowledge
- Managing the EPR system(Harvest & Construct) including setting up new projects, adding new starters, updating project stages, assigning team members to projects, weekly timesheets chasing, weekly timesheet analysis
- Overseeing purchasing ledger process including handling supplier queries,
- Preparing monthly accruals (project & overheads), preparing monthly prepayment, fixed assets, and other Balance Sheet journals
- Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation
- Annual Budgeting: Overheads analysis, Costing analysis
- Cashflow forecast
- Assisting sales ledger, intercompany charges, and etc.
Requirements / Qualifications...
- Part Qualified Accountant
- Advanced MS Excel skills& Strong analytical skills
- Experience in Sage 200 desired
- Experience in managing Harvest or other ERP System
- Experience in managing Construct or other project management system desired
- Experience in Balance Sheet reconciliation including preparation of monthly Accruals, monthly Prepayment, fixed assets, and other journals
- Experience in Cashbook, BACS, Bank reconciliation
- Experience in managing CIS, VAT returns
- Experience in Purchase ledger process, expense, company credit cards
- Experience in Dealing with multi-currency, multi-tax jurisdiction purchase & sales transactions
- Knowledge in Architectural/Construction or similar profession services desired
