An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the Professional Services Finance Business Partnering team at UCL. With combined budgets in excess of £200m, Professional Services Finance supports a wide range of departments with the planning cycle, helping them to deliver robust, detailed, and accurate financial plans which the business can use to drive strategic and operational success.
About the role
In this job you will form an integral part of the Finance Business Partnering team and be responsible for providing high quality strategic financial information and tailored business partnering support to a portfolio of departments. As a valued Business Partner to your stakeholders, you will be responsible for driving financial and business performance. In addition, you will support business decision making including investment business cases and lead the drive for continued cost control, service, and process improvement.
About you
To do this job you’ll need to be part qualified or actively studying for an accountancy qualification such as ACCA or CIMA and have experience of working in a Finance Business Partnering role within a complex organisation. You will have first hand experience of preparing budgets and forecasts, and providing regular management reporting within a large organisation. You will be proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills. You’ll have expertise in delivering financial analysis and producing management information for non-Finance users, demonstrating measurable outcomes, and supporting stakeholders to make data driven decisions. You must have excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills as well as a proven ability to successfully negotiate, and influence business decisions.
