Please note, internally this role is know as a Finance Analyst.
What’s the role about?
As a Finance Analyst, you will support the Finance Manager with financial processes, control and reporting. You will be responsible for collating data and information from a number of sources to develop and distribute meaningful management information, to different stakeholders, to enhance business decision making.
What will you be doing?
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of useful and insightful reporting.
Responsible for the end to end monthly accounting process, providing financial and management accounts reporting.
Responsible for the production of operational and commercial analysis for financial and KPI performance reporting.
Maintain and ensure costs reporting is accurate flagging issues with suggestions for improvements.
Deputise & support Finance Manager where appropriate.
Location
This role is based in an office at our Herbert Parkinson Textile Factory in Darwen, Lancashire.
What you'll have
Currently working towards a qualification in CIMA/ACCA/ACA or AAT exams Level 4
Working knowledge of computer based financial software packages
Excellent attention to detail
Basic knowledge of accounting principles
High level of technical skill using Microsoft Excel
Experience of working with, manipulating and extracting data from systems
What else could you bring?
CIMA/ACCA/ACA – Passed 1st level or AAT qualified
Experience of a manufacturing ERP system
Experience of working within an SME retail or manufacturing environment
Familiarity with databases including design, structure and SQL
Data cleansing and MI report production
Management of multiple stakeholders
Experience of improving processes
