Job description
We're seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team. We have a herd of just over 330 dairy cows and 200 youngstock on our modern dairy unit in the heart of Cheshire. Working as part of a small team, you'll be involved in all aspects of working on a dairy farm including milking, feeding and general livestock duties. We are a progressive, forward thinking dairy farm and just about to move in to a brand new 50:50 delaval rapid-exit parlour. This opportunity would ideally suit a candidate who is interested in the dairy farming industry.
You should have some experience of working with livestock or working on a dairy farm, and ideally have a qualification in an agricultural related subject. Full training will be provided to the right candidate. This is a great opportunity to learn more about dairy farming and you'll be involved in all aspects of the farm. The job will involve starting work from either 7.30am or 5am) and starting at 5am on alternate weekends (with time off during the day on those weekends). Part-time hours considered. This may ideally suit an agricultural college or vet student who is looking to gain more experience on a dairy farm.
