Opening in Spring 2023, Midland Grand Dining Room is a landmark institution in the making and is set to be the most exciting new opening of the year. Located in the iconic St Pancras building and heralding the gateway to Europe, it will be a showcase of exceptional food, incredible wine and true hospitality.
Following the success of the legendary Chiltern Firehouse and beautiful Allegra, this is the latest collaboration between London property developer, Harry Handelsman and Irish chef, Patrick Powell.
As an Assistant Sommelier in one of London's most beautiful dining rooms, you will have a vital role in hosting and entertaining our guests in a stunning environment, surrounded by colleagues who beam with talent, professionalism and ambition. Spanning a large dining room, a beautiful Private Dining Room, exciting Chef’s Table experience, stunning terrace and striking bar, Midland Grand is the ultimate opportunity for an Assistant Sommelier looking to progress their career and hone their skills through assisting the Head Sommelier in writing the wine list from scratch
We are looking for a proactive and driven Assistant Sommelier to join our sommelier team and be part of developing a progressive, dynamic and creative wine programme.

We are looking for…
· 2 years experience in a similar role
· Friendly, approachable, and with a positive attitude always
· Passionate about offering personal and caring hospitality that will make guests come back for more, while contributing to a wine service experience that is unmatched in the city
· Having a great understanding of wine
· Working closely with your Head Sommelier and assisting senior members with supervising the setting and clearing down after each dining experience
· Being confident in training, developing and passing on your wine knowledge to junior staff members
· Building rapport with others, especially with guests, using clear, professional communication skills
· Maintaining energy and passion for wine and beverage, to ensure the highest standards are always achieved.
