Hello from Heath Street Bakehouse!
We are found in cosy Hampstead, producing a variety of bread and viennoiserie using only the highest quality ingredients, from our flour down to our butter and salt.
We are currently looking for a passionate and skilled assistant head baker artisan baker with experience in producing handcrafted, and sourdough bread and viennoiserie to join our team on a permanent basis.
A minimum of one year of preparing and baking sourdough, and viennoiserie in a commercial setting is required for this role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare breads from our bread selection and other baked products
- Preparing viennoiserie
- This will include mixing, scaling, shaping before baking
- Having exceptional standards for your quality of work
- Enjoy working as a small team, and sharing ideas.
- Monitor production in a consistent and professional manner.
- Maintain cleanliness of your work area including utensils and equipment
Personal attributes & skills
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in baking.
- Ability to produce bread using manual and/or industrial processes.
- Knowledge of dough preparation times and procedures and various baking techniques.
- Ability to operate electric bread ovens.
- Knowledge of health, safety and hygiene regulations for food preparation.
- Ability to multitask and plan

Salary: £27,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
