Gower College Swansea is one of the largest colleges in Wales with a strong reputation for high quality teaching and learning. We have six campuses across the city with over 4,500 full time learners and 10,000 part time learners. The role:
The Assistant Graphic Designer will play a crucial role in supporting the creative needs of the College's marketing and communications team. The primary purpose of this role is to assist in the creation and production of visually appealing and engaging graphic materials that effectively communicate the College's brand and messages to various stakeholders.
- Full Time (37 Hours)
- Fixed Term until 31st December 2024
- £22,982 - £25,017 per annum
- Location: Tycoch and Gorseinon
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Assist in the design and development of a wide range of marketing materials, including prospectus, brochures, flyers, posters, banners, digital ads, social media graphics, and other promotional items.
- Create visually compelling layouts and designs that align with the College's brand guidelines.
- Use industry-standard graphic design software and tools to produce high-quality designs and artwork.
About you:
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout composition.
- Demonstrated portfolio showcasing graphic design skills and creative abilities.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).
- Excellent attention to detail.
