The salary range for this role is set at £33,200 - £48,600, which covers roles nationally including London. For this vacancy, we are seeking candidates with salary expectations between £33,200 - £35,000.
This position is a permanent contract.
About the role
As the Assistant General Manager (AGM), you will be responsible for supporting the General Manager (GM) and the team, for the overall performance and safety of the site. You will also deputise for the GM in day to day activities when the GM is away.
In your role, you will directly contribute to exceptional customer service, exceeding customer expectations and maintaining a market-leading resident experience through communication and events, representing the John Lewis Build To Rent brand. You will do this through building relationships with stakeholders including residents, Partners, the community and with all those who visit the site.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
Supporting the General Manager in building and maintaining the reputation and brand of the site in the local community, driving income, managing costs, whilst targeting the highest possible customer experience rating for the site and exceeding expectations.
Coordinating and overseeing the planning and implementation of various community events and activities. Ensuring they are actively promoted and advertised to residents. Managing customer feedback to ensure maximum satisfaction, retention and occupancy at all times, always seeking ways to exceed service expectations.
Role modelling the delivery of high quality inclusive customer experience and resident engagement by ensuring that resident issues and requests are addressed in line with service standards and agreed KPIs.
Supporting the GM in ensuring that all Health and Safety guidelines, legal and statutory requirements are adhered to at all times in relation to the site.
Turnaround of apartments with agreed KPIs and service standards in mind to ensure a high quality check out experience for existing residents and check in experience for new residents.
Working with JLP stakeholders and specialists within the wider BTR team to shape and influence the resident experience on site and in other JLP properties.

Essential skills you’ll need
Sufficient experience in a residential related asset or property management position is essential – PRS, BTR, PBSA etcExperience operating in a commercial environment
Ability to use initiative, self motivate and work with minimal supervision
Good knowledge and previous experience of residential property repair and refurbishment
A natural leader who has experience in supporting and developing teams with or without direct management responsibilities, and who approaches team relationships in a coaching and developmental style
A hands on attitude
Desirable
ARLA qualified, or if not already qualified, commitment to becoming qualified within 6 months
