LOCATION: Various, but mainly based in Louth, Lincolnshire
JOB TITLE: Assistant Gardener
JOB TYPE: Full-Time
HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday – 8.00am to 4.00pm (approximately)
PAY: £20,500 - £22,500pa (dependent on skills and experience)
JOB PURPOSE:
We have an Assistant Gardener position available and are looking for a candidate who loves working outside and who has a keen interest in learning about different aspects of garden maintenance and landscaping.
Duties to include:
Grass cutting- Hedge cutting
- Weeding
- Planting trees
- Planting shrubs and flowers
- Digging
- Soil works
- Fencing works
- Clearing garden waste
- Soft and hard landscaping projects
- Requirements and prospects
The role will involve working outdoors/in all weathers/standing for long periods/using heavy gardening equipment/lifting and loading and unloading.
The successful candidate will need to have the ability to work independently without the need for close supervision.
Knowledge and Skills:
Horticultural qualifications and previous experience in the sector would be beneficial.- Full UK/EU Driving Licence is essential (the vacancy will cover various sites)
Personal qualities:
Candidate must be enthusiastic and trustworthy- Candidate must be punctual and reliable
- A helpful and friendly approach is essential
- Must have a good aptitude for learning
Training and support will be provided and the ideal candidate must be willing to attend courses as and when offered. Full PPE will be provided.
