An established and busy Landscaping and Garden maintenance company based in the Maidstone area is looking for an apprentice assistant gardener. This position could have the possibility of becoming permanent for the right person. We are looking to recruit a new member of staff to add to our growing team. The candidate should have an interest in horticulture and be willing to learn on the job..Duties will include but not limited to;Assisting the maintenance team on weekly maintenance visitsMowing lawnsAll aspects of gardening tasksStrimmingHedge cuttingBorder controlTurfingPlantingFencingWeeding/pruningClient Liaison and customer serviceMaintaining toolsDesired skills and QualitiesEnthusiasmAbility to learnHardworkingDesired qualificationsGCSE’s, or equivalents in maths and English are desired but not essentialFuture prospectsThis position could have the possibility of becoming permanent for the right person.Training:Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Horticulture and Landscape Operative Apprenticeship.The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.You will also need to achieve Level 3 award in Emergency First Aid at Work and Level 2 Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides Guidance or Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Pesticides before undertaking the End Point Assessment.Things to considerKEITS Training Services Ltd reserves the right to close the vacancy earlier than the listed closing date should the need arise.To Apply click Apply for this Role and for our top tips on how to fill out your application form click hereJob Types: Apprenticeship, Full-timeSalary: £5.28 per hourBenefits:Company pensionSchedule:Monday to FridayWork Location: In personReference ID: maidstone horticulture
