Full Time Swindon, Wiltshire, South West England, England 38715 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, confident and self-motivated communicator, to develop their financial and transferable skill set in engaging with non-Finance and Finance staff alike within the Commercial Department, and in ensuring the financial integrity of the Charity.

This is your opportunity to be exposed to a challenging and developing, multi-business Commercial environment within a rapidly growing charity; enhancing your skills in the use of stock and sales systems and financial processes, as well as further enhancing your communication and presentation skills.

Though formally a hybrid role, you will have the option to be predominantly remote working from home. There will be occasional travel required to sites and offices across England. The Finance Business Partner - Commercial and the Commercial Director are based in Swindon and London respectively so travel to these locations will be most frequent.

You will work closely with the Finance Business Partner - Commercial in monitoring and reporting the financial performance of the Department, support Finance colleagues in reporting the performance of the Department and organisation as a whole, and support operational colleagues in decision making all with a view to helping the organisation achieve its Financial Sustainability objective.

Ideally you will be studying for a CCAB or CIMA professional qualification and or be at least a part qualified CCAB accountant with experience of the compilation of UK GAAP compliant management accounts, variance analyses and the interrogation and reporting of data. You should also have a strong understanding of stock/inventory accounting and related control processes including but not limited to stock takes.

You will have advanced Microsoft Excel skills and will be experienced in the use of financial systems. Report building and frequent ad-hoc reporting will be a requirement.

Flexibility, excellent time management and communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must, and you will be confident in problem solving and comfortable presenting financial information to non-financial colleagues.

You will have an eye for detail and be proactive in your support of others and yourself.

If you feel that you have the skills and enthusiasm, and would relish the challenges and opportunities offered by this role, we would love to hear from you, if you would like to talk to us about this role before you apply, please contact Nana Addae-Baah Finance Business Partner - Commercial, on 01793 445213 or [email protected]

You'll find it's a workplace like no other - taking you behind the scenes of these extraordinary sites and supporting you to share your ideas, inspire others and make a difference.

By joining us, you'll enjoy the rewards of a great team environment in inspiring locations, helping to make our sites a wonderful place to visit. You'll also be joining our charity, which through our 400+ historic monuments, buildings and sites, brings the story of England to life for over 10 million visitors each year.

Benefits include:

  • The opportunity to progress your career within the heritage sector;
  • Apprenticeship opportunities
