We are looking for an ambitious individual with some civil engineering experience that we can support and develop as an Estimator. Our ideal candidate will have some experience in either a commercial or operational role in construction, computer literate, have a good understanding of basic maths and with an interest in estimating.
What you will get involved in
Review and form an understanding of the project from the Invitation to Tender documents
Assisting with preparation of Bill of Quantities and any take off to either populate or as a checking exercise
Assist with the preparation of contract overview and settlement documents for tender review meetings
Identify and collate any subcontract as enquiry packages to supplement into tender as required
Prepare material take off and quantities for procurement enquiries
Collate and submit to the client any Tender Queries within the prescribed periods outlined in the ITT documents when applicable
Essential elements to help you succeed in this role
Educated to National Diploma level, ideally construction based
Time management skills and flexibility for planning and prioritising tasks
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good working skills in Microsoft Office applications
