Job description
We’re an innovative multidisciplinary firm of innovators and engineers, designing products and solutions for marine, military and technology sectors. We are looking for an engineer to join the engineering team in our London office, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
The successful candidate will have a good interest and understanding of practical enginreering, and will work to support Stream's engineering director and small team. The role will involve working with a variety of manufacturing techniques and tools, and on an interesting veriety of projects. The work is mainly practical, dealing with assembly and repair of of products, but will also include some desk based tasks, for example checking drawings, procurement and design review.
You will be exposed to a range of tasks involving traditional and innovative manufacturing techniques and will have the opportunity to learn. You will be supporting engineers and production on a day to day basis. You will also be given an opportunity to take up assignments and think outside the box.
Candidates are required to have a working knowledge of common manufacturing and assembly methods, and understand basic physical and electrical principles, either by qualification or by experience.
Communication and presentation are important for this role, as it is partly customer facing. Candidates should be fluent in written and spoken English, however language training is available for Ukrainian and some other nationalities.
