What you’ll be doing
The position offers the opportunity to desk-edit and support commissioning editors across a high-volume and profitable list. It will also involve writing copy, cover briefs, metadata, checking covers and completing sales sheets, and is a good position for someone passionate about commercial fiction, who is looking for their next step up.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate should be highly organised, efficient, proactive, digitally savvy and able to work as part of a large team, with excellent administrative and IT skills (Windows and Excel). A true passion for reading commercial fiction and genre fiction, particularly romance fiction, and impeccable spelling and grammar are essential, as well as a meticulous eye for detail, good communication skills and the ability to manage their time, prioritise and work well under pressure. We are looking for candidates with a proven track record of desk editing/project managing multiple titles.

This role can be based at our London office, or at any of our new regional offices in Edinburgh, Newcastle, or Sheffield, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week, but will likely involve some travel to London for major meetings.
