We are currently looking for an Assistant Drainage Engineer to join our team.
The successful candidate will provide day to day support to the Senior Drainage Engineer across a range of major functions involved in Drainage and Flood Risk Management services.
The candidate will be responsible for providing detailed design of land drainage and highway drainage schemes, produce detailed drawings and supporting documentation for drainage schemes, for both internal and external clients.
The individual will be required to provide technical, structural and contractual input into drainage design maintenance and assessment, and provide technical advice to Development Control for sustainable drainage scheme (SuDS) development applications and assist with delivery of key Council projects.
They will be required to undertake general and principal inspections of drainage structures, to identify outstanding works, and assist in the formulation and implementation of Drainage capital and maintenance Contracts, Asset Management Plans and Works Programmes. Effective communication by way of technical documentation, verbal and in writing is an essential for this post.
