There’s never been a more exciting time to join Doncaster Council.
We are passionate about Doncaster - it’s a great place to live, do business and visit.
We have plenty to shout about – Doncaster is the UK’s best connected location, we have many major developments in the pipeline, a thriving arts and cultural scene, sport and leisure attractions, wonderful green spaces and a fascinating heritage. We firmly believe, as do our partners, that Doncaster is the place to be with a bright future and ambitions ahead of it. But don’t just take our word for it – anyone joining the council, can look forward to expanding their knowledge and skills in a dynamic, creative and nurturing environment while truly making a difference to the communities we serve.
Doncaster Council is an ambitious Mayoral authority with a clear purpose to ensure Doncaster and its people thrive. We are transforming as a Council and are also collaborating as part of Team Doncaster with partnership organisations, volunteers, businesses and residents working together to take pride in our borough.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Adults, Wellbeing and Culture senior leadership team. Reporting to the DASS you will work closely with senior officers in the Council to help shape adult social care by shaping strategic partnerships underpinned by strong operational delivery.
Your inclusive values and commitment to equality will be beyond question. A strength-based approach and a commitment to wellbeing in its broadest sense will come naturally to you. You’ll also have the skills to work alongside staff, partners and people with lived experience to turn values into action. You won’t be satisfied with a skin-deep approach and will be able to deliver improvements that are both authentic and systemic. Above all you’ll promote the human rights of the people we are here to serve. In doing so you’ll support the Adults, Wellbeing and Culture directorate to make best use of our resources.
You’ll get plenty of support as part of a friendly Council with a dynamic can-do culture. If you have the skills, determination and commitment to make a real difference and to improve the health, wellbeing and safety of our residents both directly and in strategic partnership, we want to hear from you.
Further details about the responsibilities and requirements of the role are contained in the job profile and role summary.
In return for your hard work and dedication, we can offer you the chance to be part of a great team dedicated to ensuring that all people in Doncaster thrive. You will also have access to a variety of attractive employee benefits including competitive leave entitlement, local government pension scheme and access to a range of staff discount and flexible benefits schemes.
