Summary of Job Duties:
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
- At least five years of demonstrated experience as a human resource professional with at least two years of experience in benefits administration
- At least two years of supervisory experience
- Professional certifications such as Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Leave Management Specialist (CLMS) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR) a plus
- Proficient in Workday
- Demonstrated experience in vendor management and negotiation
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
- Experience in higher education
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs):
- In-depth knowledge of employee benefits laws, leave regulations, and industry best practices
- Knowledge of common office software applications
- Knowledge of employee benefit programs and eligibility requirements
- Strong analytical skills to assess data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences
- Good organization and time management skills
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to interpret and apply the provisions of laws, regulations, and policies to specific situations
- Ability to collaborate with customers and utilize critical thinking skills
- Ability to understand and implement technical and business-related documents and concepts
