Assistant Construction Manager - Leicester

YOUR TASKS:

  • Site support of all aspects of OLE projects to ensure they are delivered safely, to programme, to the required standards and within budget
  • Co-ordinate with supervisor and the Construction Manager to ensure that daily works reports are fully completed for each shift and are submitted.
  • Coordinate with supervisors to ensure that daily time sheets are fully completed for each shift and are submitted.
  • In conjunction with and in agreement with other team member and the Senior organise the requirements of the site staff to meet the project requirements.
  • Close and frequent communication with OLE engineers and supervisors to relay information
  • Meet and communicate with clients representatives to ensure the work and output is delivered to satisfaction
  • Ensure that “for construction” project specific drawings and specifications are used
  • Check OLE materials in advance to meet project programme and report any shortages to Depot and Stores Manager and the Construction Manager.
  • Ensure that site teams have the required level of protection staff.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Experience in supervising OLE projects and operatives on the projects.
  • Ideally 18 months OLE Supervision experience.
  • Experience in assistant management type roles ideally within the railway industry and on OLE projects
  • Valid PTS an OLEC 3 qualification (minimum)
  • Computer literacy including various software programmes.
  • Willingness to travel and to learn and open minded for new technologies
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and support as required
  • Full driving licence
  • The ability to stay calm and meet deadlines and deal with challenge.
