Responsibilities
As an Assistant Commercial Accountant you'll be working within the major projects Devonport team reporting to the Commercial Accountant. The successful post-holder’s prime function is to provide Finance and Administration support to the Devonport Contract and wider JV team.
Your day to day will include:
- Completing Cost Journals and inputting into Causeway Accounting system
- Generation of Cost reports to assist Commercial Team
- Cost recharge processes to ensure Labour and Staff costs are allocated to the correct Contract activities and relating AFP multiplier
- Collating Audit information to support substantiation of cost transactional data for the Client
- Managing and clearing of Aged System Accruals and management of the Causeway system
- Processing of Manual/Miscellaneous payment requests for the Contract
Who are we looking for?
This role of Assistant Commercial Accountant is great for you if:
- Ability to use a range of IT packages including Microsoft Office and bespoke packages
- Experience of accounting systems e.g. Causeway
- Experience in operating in Finance/Accounting roles
- Background experience in the Construction industry
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage large volumes of data
