We are looking for an Assistant Clinical Psychologist to work with the Intervention and Complex Assessment Services (ICAS) within Southampton’s Children’s Safeguarding Service.
ICAS includes teams working with families across a range of specialist areas and you will work under the team’s Clinical Psychologist who provides reflexive and case supervision across the teams as well as the component psychology role within the established FDAC offer.
As an Assistant Clinical Psychologist, you will carry out specialised psychometric assessments (including neuropsychological tests e.g., WAIS IV and WISC V) and self-report measures and rating scales, with children and/or parents, under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist. You will be involved in supporting observations of children and families, assist in the organisation and co-facilitation of psychoeducation and therapeutic groups, and maintain the services clinical databases for evidence-based practice.
Ideally you will have experience of working directly with complex children and families’ systems, and some knowledge or experience of psychological therapy and interventions.
