Job description
The Staff Psychology Service provides brief individual support to staff alongside team support including psychoeducation sessions reflective groups, & Schwartz Rounds. The service also offers training, consultation and advice to support the organisation more widely.
The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.
The Assistant Psychologist will support the Clinical Psychologists with the running and development of this new and exciting service. Your role will include providing support with managing, co-ordinating and responding to referrals, contributing to direct and indirect clinical work & taking a key role in service evaluation, audit and research. You will contribute to and provide admin support as required to support the successful running of the service.
This work will be supervised by a Clinical Psychologist and there will be the opportunity to join a network of Assistant Psychologists already working in Clinical Health Psychology in the Trust.
The Staff Psychology Service runs across both Chelsea and Westminster Hospital (369 Fulham Road, SW10 9NH) and West Middlesex University Hospital (Twickenham Road, TW7 6AF). Although there may be some opportunities for occasional remote working, the post holder will primarily be expected to work across both sites as required. A hospital shuttle bus connects these two sites.
