Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the Assistant Category Manager will be working closely with and support the Category Managers on a day-to-day basis and they will also manage, maintain and develop low value supply agreements to achieve best value for money and follow good practice in non-pay expenditure. To co-ordinate and apply good procurement procedures and techniques to meet the business objectives of Queen Mary University of London (Queen Mary) with professional competence. The role holder will need to apply best practice procurement across Queen Mary particularly in key spend areas, contributing significantly to a professional and flexible procurement service. This is a role, and the starting salary will be in the range of £38,165 - £44,722 per annum (Depending on experience), inclusive of London Allowance.
