Strategic Sourcing Services manages commercial relationships and partnerships with key suppliers, and the end-to-end supplier life-cycle. We play a fundamental role in the day-to-day provision of goods and services for the HSBC Group. Our primary focus is to deliver commercial value through all areas of procurement worldwide. We work closely with other parts of HSBC to provide leadership of the bank’s third-party supplier relationships.
Role Purpose:
On a global, regional and local basis, lead strategy and planning for a Procurement sub-category to deliver competitive advantage for HSBC business through cost savings, lifecycle value generation, demand management and innovation.
The role will support the Category Manager and the Category Lead in working closely with stakeholders within the Bank’s global Travel, Events & Fleet team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading end to end planning and execution of sourcing projects
- Developing and maintaining a global stakeholder network in a complex and dynamic business environment.
- Driving business outcomes and behaviours with subject matter expertise to drive value through the category planning lifecycle.
- Supporting the creation of sub-category strategies
- Seeking alternatives to current category specifications
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Experience in analysing and presenting complex detail in a clear and easy to understand format
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders and/ or external parties
- A background in negotiation and influencing
- A good understanding of the financial services industry, strategic requirements, and key risks facing financial services institutions
The base location for this role will be Sheffield with hybrid working
