An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Channels Enabling Platform, where the Identity and Authentication Lab provides an enterprise level Authentication service. The Platform needs to meet the Strong Customer Authentication regulatory commitments, enable innovation to help lead into the bank of the future, and to trailblaze within the industry. The Platform will support and grow a wide range of authenticators to serve the Bank’s digital channels.
We are committed to delivering a world-class customer experience by building a state-of-the-art Identity & Authentication Platform and enabling our customers to feel safe and secure with their data while accessing our multi-channel digital ecosystem.
We're building the bank of the future, and we need your help.
About the role
In this role you’ll play a crucial part in planning and managing support for the ID & Authentication Lab, ensuring the provision of an efficient operation which meets needs of the Product Owner and Engineering community within the Lab, as well as the wider Platform central functions. You’ll interpret complex processes and manage the efficient and effective production of high-quality output and analysis, anticipating stakeholder needs.
You’ll have experience providing technical support and assistance to the business in a subject area, using own judgment as to when more complex queries require raising with senior team members.
Specific activities which you’ll be responsible for include things like:
  • FTE and Data Management: support the maintenance of Lab Colleague Data. Using content from core systems to drive activity across FTE management, data quality and finance.
  • Maintaining and improving Compliance: Support management of essential tasks and ensure timely management of key compliance measures associated with the Group’s Change Approach, Annual Refresher training etc.
  • Risk Management: Support key risk controls and deliverables, including Business Continuity Plans, Service Now risks and management of risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies associated with the Lab’s investment funded delivery.
  • Financial Management: Support the tracking and analysis of financial performance across the Lab’s BAU and Investment budgets.
  • Governance & Secretariat: Support in the creation of Forum and Committee Packs, minute taking and driving resolution to key actions across the areas we support
  • Recruitment Support: Support the recruitment approval process in accordance with agreed guidelines and provide support to hiring managers through the internal recruitment process.
About you
We believe that people don't always fit neatly into roles, and we value everyone's individual skills, experience, and knowledge — it's what makes you unique!
As such, we encourage applications from candidates with different backgrounds, however, you are more likely to secure an interview, if you could demonstrate the below skills in your application:
Technical Skills
  • Significant experience in programme management/project management within a large, corporate organisation that is heavily regulated (ideally within the financial services sector).
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, as well as familiarity with working with complex data and reporting software (Workday, Clarity, Jira, Confluence etc.)
  • Highly experienced in making sense of and using complex data and providing timely and quality information to support business areas’ strategic and operational decision-making and optimisation.
  • Proven track-record in governance reporting with financial forecasting, budgeting and cost management experience.
Behavioural Skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and track-record of being able to develop strong working relationships across a business and partners, and ability to influence and effectively communicate with senior management and business executives.
  • Self-starter, who is comfortable in using their own initiative, and enjoys productively challenging the status-quo and continuously improving efficiency within the organisation.
