We are an accountancy business based in the Tolworth area who have ambitious plans to grow our business.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join our accounts team.
As an Assistant Accountant you’ll already have gained a good level of experience within an accounting environment and ideally, be AAT qualified/ACCA part qualified as a minimum.
You will be a key point of contact for a portfolio of clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Services
- Undertake/assist with bookkeeping tasks (bank reconciliations, purchase/sales invoices, etc) for clients
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly VAT returns for clients and submit to Senior/Manager for review
- Assist with the preparation of annual accounts, management accounts and personal tax returns
- Manage workloads to ensure internal deadlines are met
- Provide full support to clients via telephone, email, slack etc
Administration
- Liaise with clients where required
- Ensure electronic and physical client files are complete and maintained fully
- Returning client records
- Answering the telephone
Business Development
- Build positive relationships with clients in day to day work
- Identify areas to develop new business or offer additional services
- Promote the services of the business to clients and potential clients
Team
- Communicate effectively with others in the team
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in order to meet the objectives of the business
- Assist your team with managing their workloads to ensure deadlines are met
- Contribute to team meetings and put forward ideas and feedback in order to improve ways of working
General
- Undertake any other tasks that may be reasonably requested
- Turkish speaker would be advantageous
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: Up to £25,000.00 per year
