Responsibilities:
You will report to our Executive Accountant for Services in North West Europe. You will be a hands-on Accountant and will support the production of the books and records of the legal entities within the North Western Region for the Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence business in respect of the services activities and associated revenue, costs and balance sheet accounts. You will be part of a team with a great team spirit based out of our Swindon office while having the opportunity for some hybrid working. You will also form part of a wider international team throughout North West Europe.
This is a great opportunity for someone some understanding of finance and excellent general administration skills to grow and develop guided by some expert finance professionals.

Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is seeking an Assistant Accountant.
You will report to our Executive Accountant for Services in North West Europe. You will be a hands-on Accountant and will support the production of the books and records of the legal entities within the North Western Region for the Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence business in respect of the services activities and associated revenue, costs and balance sheet accounts. Assisting the Executive accountant in all aspects of consulting projects activities including:- Posting of costs to projects via timesheets or invoices as appropriate.
- Revenue recognition on projects .
- Analysis of the monthly results to understand key hits/ misses and issues within the services.
- Billing of services projects in a timely manner to customers.
- Closing projects as and when appropriate.
- Working with the project managers and PMO to understand the projects as they move through their lifecycle.
- Monitoring backlogs and bookings and aid the reporting of both numbers in the management accounts as appropriate.
- Supporting the services team with any data requests they may have.
- Assisting with the production of the reporting packs for the Western Region.
- Assisting in the onboarding of the projects acquired from the EAM acquisition.
- Reconciling the unbilled and Billings in excess accounts as they relate to services.
- Assisting with the forecasting process for services.
- Assisting in the updating of the recovery rates for the application engineers.
- Excellent written and spoken English, a confident and concise communicator who has experience of dealing with both finance and non-finance management.
- Able to maintain strong working relations with staff and business partners that may be located outside of UK.
- Experience of an international business environment – preferably in a software, technology or projects business would be an advantage.
- Self-motivated individual that is looking for a role that will challenge and reward.
- Good IT application skills and experience. Experience of using integrated accounting systems required. Proficient in use of excel and PowerPoint.
