Job description
We are a firm of Chartered Certified Accountants in Oldham offering accountancy and buinsess consultancy services to owner managed and family owned buisnesses.
Key Tasks
· Assist in the preparation of accounts to trial balance for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies.
· General bookkeeping.
· Completion and submission of VAT returns.
· Completion of Self-Assessment Tax Returns
· General ad hoc administration duties.
Personal Specification
Abilities/Skills
· Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office.
· Knowledge of Accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and Auto Entry Software, and willingness to learn new software programmes as training will be provided if needed.
· Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
· Ability to demonstrate discretion and confidentiality.
· Awareness of relevant legislation, including Anti Money Laundering.
· Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
· Flexible approach to working.
· Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise own workload.
Qualifications
· Level 4 AAT qualification (or equivalent), working towards Level 4 or relevant experience and the ability to demonstrate required level of knowledge.
Work Circumstances
· Working with senior members of the team and reporting to the practice manager.
· Role will be office based, with some flexibility for occasional work from home where necessary. 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Salary: £24,608.00-£25,866.00 per year
