- Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship
An Assistant Accountant provides support to external clients within our practice. Part of the role involves assisting in the day-to-day financial activities such as data entry to month-end management accounts and/or year-end financial statements. In addition, the Assistant Accountant needs to be involved in financial regulatory requirements such as the completion of VAT returns or assisting in the preparation of tax computations.
LOCATION: 8 Devonshire Square, EC2M 4YJ
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship Duties and Responsibilities (see the full job description)
- Input Income and Expense Entries
- Manage Invoices
- Check Data for Accuracy
- Present Information
- Completing the required data entry,
- Completing the full bookkeeping process,
- Drafting accounts to the trial balance stage,
- Using accounting software,
- Updating and following projects on our Online project management software,
- Weekly reports on client performance and invoicing,
- Client sign-up process following successful client meetings,
- Support the Associate/Senior/Partner Accountants with the preparation of
- Self-assessments,
- Year-end accounts, Bookkeeping, VAT returns, Payroll-PAYE, Corporation Tax, CGT-IHT and pensions calculations
- Other ad-hoc duties
- Administrative Duties Day to day reception duties which include being the first point of contact of potential and current clients.
- Client management duties including; being first point of contact of potential and current clients; Maintaining office supplies by keeping an inventory and ordering new supplies as needed; Making sure the office is well kept.
