The Asset Manager provides strategic and operational leadership to deliver industry leading Health, Safety, Environmental and Operational performance for all Business Unit offshore assets and infrastructure in the UK Southern North Sea.
Location – Hessle, Hull
The Role
- Deliver industry leading personal and process safety performance by leading standard setting for continuous improvement in safety culture to achieve an Incident free Workplace.
- Demonstrate visible and felt Health, Safety, and Environmental leadership.
- Legal Duty Holder for all offshore assets demonstrating compliance with Safety Case regulations and other associated regulatory requirements.
- Set the short to medium term (1-3 year) strategy for the assets to support the Business Units strategy.
- Create an inclusive environment that recognises everyone’s uniqueness and diversity of background.
- Lead on establishing a diverse and inclusive culture in our offshore organisation.
- Formulate operating and maintenance strategies, providing project sponsorship, developing, and controlling all budgets.
- Coach and support the team in delivering operating plans.
- Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships to maintain optimum operational performance.
- Performance manage the offshore team.
- Accountable for developing and implementing a rolling programme of capital expenditure projects.
- Accountable for the asset de-commissioning strategy, plan and implementation.
- Member of the Business Unit Leadership team influencing strategy and organisational performance.
Work Experience and Qualifications
- Essential - Educated to degree level in a technical or business subject
- Desirable - Chartered Engineer and Full Member of an Engineering Institute
- Experience within Major Accident Hazard industries (typical 10-15 years), with experience in senior managerial roles (typical 5-10 years) and proven HSSEQ leadership.
- Demonstrable leadership and people skills gained through managing multi-disciplined teams in complex businesses.
- Excellent operational, engineering, & commercial awareness.
- Highly delivery focused, has ability to meet emerging and future business needs to deliver value and operational discipline.
- Ability to manage complexity and conflicting demands provide clear
- leadership and prioritisation to team. Track record of making difficult decisions, with excellent short and long term operational risk awareness.
- Highly motivated, excellent communication skills, proactive and adaptable.
- Previous experience as an Offshore Installation Manager or Terminal Manager is desirable
