Working at Housing Options you will be part of an enthusiastic and committed team responsible for the assessment and registration of applications for Council Housing. We receive a large number of applications every month, you will be responsible for a range of tasks involved in registering cases onto our Housing Register, as well as keeping accurate records, producing statistics and adhering to relevant policies and procedures.

Working at Housing Options you will be part of an enthusiastic and committed team responsible for the assessment and registration of applications for Council Housing. We receive a large number of applications every month, you will be responsible for a range of tasks involved in registering cases onto our Housing Register, as well as keeping accurate records, producing statistics and adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
You will also provide a front-line reception service to customers at Housing Options and answer & direct calls to appropriate teams on our busy switchboard.
You will need confident communication skills as you will meet customers who may be vulnerable, have additional needs or display challenging behaviour. You will need to manage the expectations of customers, providing advice on seeking alternative solutions in a challenging housing market.
The demand on Social Housing is higher than ever and this role involves managing a large workload with a high demand from customers, so the ability to work in a busy pressured environment is essential.
You will need to be able to work on multiple software packages to effectively manage your caseload.
