Job Title: Semi-skilled Fitter / Assembler
Location: Leicester, LE4
Salary: £12.00-£14.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Shift: 7am to 3pm
An opportunity for a Semi-skilled Fitter / Assembler has arisen for our client who are a manufacturer of industrial machinery, based in the heart of Leicester.
The Role:
- Servicing and repairs to machinery and new plant
- Support the senior fitting team
- Identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, laws, working practices and health and safety
- Site preparation and clearance, and maintaining general site tidiness – assisting in maintaining site security
- Ensure compliance with agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety
- Contribute to those of the team as a whole
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including those relating to hygiene, respect for other team members, time keeping and flexibility
The Candidate:
- Experience working in a similar business
- Have access to own tools to use alongside company tools
- 12 months experience in an engineering setting
- Willing to learn and grow in the role
- Demonstrate knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations
- Be flexible and willing to work as part of a team
- Be friendly and approachable
- Good attention to detail
- Good level of fitness
- Able to work in all weather in an outdoor environment
- Demonstrate good time management and project management skills
- Full driving licence
