Job description

A super opportunity for Assembly Technician (Transducers) to join Servomex, the world leader in gas analysis.

This full-time, permanent role sits within our UK Operations Team, and the successful candidate will have responsibility for assembling and building Servomex finished product and sub-assemblies in accordance with the production plan, to the required levels of quality and throughput. About the Opportunity:

Key responsibilities:

  • Fully comply with Servomex Health, Safety and Environmental policies
  • Build of Servomex products following standard SOPs and Drawings
  • Inspect/test/calibrate Servomex product as defined by SOPs, engineering drawings and specifications
  • Interpret test data to ensure the product meets specifications
  • Fault find when a product does not conform and complete reject process defining the appropriate corrective action and rework using the relevant OCAP as required
  • Produce, maintain and update all the necessary records as required
  • Cross-train to build up a range of skills across multiple product lines
  • Consume and control material within company procedures and protocols
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities to improve quality, delivery and cost
  • Some test of completed product if necessary

About your Talent:

Essential skills and experience:

  • Ability to assemble micro or complex electromechanical product
  • Strong eye-hand coordination, attention to detail and housekeeping
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Ability to understand and work to engineering instructions

Desirable skills:

  • Experience of manufacturing, particularly in a clean room and/or laboratory-based environments
  • Previous experience assembly of instrumentation within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Servomex products
  • Experience of light industrial electromechanical and pneumatic assembly techniques
  • Expertise of the gas analysis is an advantage

Essential Qualifications:

  • GCSE or equivalent in science, maths or engineering based subjects or relevant experience

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Work Schedule: We operate a varied shift pattern Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am and 9pm. Working 38 hrs a week with an early finish on Fridays

Salary: Dependent on experience
