Mechanical Assembler
Up to £27,500 basic + excellent benefits
Monday - Thursday (8am - 4.45pm) Friday (8am - 12pm)
A global leading organisation specialising in the manufacture of equipment within the aerospace and defence industries are seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join their team.
As the Assembler, you will be responsible for undertaking multi-skilled duties, as allocated within the department and to contribute and maintain te4h efficiency and effectiveness of the service provided by production.
Key accountabilities- Mechanical Assembler:
+ Work to engineering drawings/instructions.
+ Assembly of components.
+ Ensure quality standards are adhered to.
+ Accurately interpret assembly drawings and production documents so that Part Numbers, Drawing Issues, Working Practices and Batches are Identified and recorded correctly.
+ Handle explosive materials, goods and components carefully and comply with safety regulations to ensure that; components are not damaged through mishandling, accidents do not occur through negligence or mishandling, batch traceability is maintained throughout production, scrap is handled in a safe manner.
+ Use tools and jigs to enable assembly of components.
Experienced/Skills required:
+ Mechanical Assembly experience in a manufacturing/production environment
+ Attention to detail
+ Basic IT skills
+ Basic understanding of interpreting engineering drawings
