Contract type: Long Term Contract, 5 days a week, 8am to 4pm
LSA role within a specialist school for children with Autism and associated, Complex Social Needs – The school is looking for sincere graduates with aspirations in OT, Child Development, or associated therapies, using Music and Creative skills and subjects to bring relief and stimulation to your students.

If you have personal aspirations within OT, Music, Creative Therapies, this is a good base and this SEN LSA role in which to start with. This LSA role brings out holistic, therapeutic, especially through a Music, Dance and Play.
To gain access to the Music Masters you desire, or onto build on the qualifications and experience you have, it is crucial to have 9-12 months of paid experience under your belt, you need to be able to qualify and disqualify these areas for yourself.
The school puts their children and staff as their main priorities, its all about positive engagement and ensuring a restorative, empathetic approach is combined with the right, technical approaches.

Primary age focus with National Curriculum EYFS, KS1 and KS2 curriculums focussed on.
SEN LSA role in a specialist provision for children with Autism, low to mid support:
**Specialist School for Autism, 7-14, curriculum for each student based on the children’s cognitive ability
**Music Therapist, OT and Speech and Language Therapist, on site
**Monday to Friday, 8:00 – 4pm
**Good transport links and cycle storage
**Dependent on the class and the student’s need, elements of personal care will be required
**Autism, ADHD, OCD, Pervasive Development Disorder, Dyslexia and a focus on Social, Emotional and Mental Health challenges
**Some children with PMLD may have severe difficulties seeing, hearing, speaking and moving – this is where the school’s outstanding differentiating and understanding each student’s EHCP comes into play
**Heavy focus on learning through play and focusing on marginal achievements, that can evolve into sustainable progress.
**Outstanding Teaching and support teams in place, a wonderfully holistic and positive atmosphere
**Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language specialists will come into the school from outside agencies, the school utilises many holistic and therapeutical approaches
**Classes of 3-6 pupils dependent on age, ability and the children’s specific need
