About Pulse Creative
Pulse Creative is the embedded creative and media agency for News UK.

The agency houses more than 40 experts in everything from creative, design, art working, digital content creation, comms planning, brand strategy, account handling and media planning and buying. Pulse Creative works on all of News UK's brand, such as The Times, The Sun, talkSPORT and Virgin Radio.
Pulse is based in News UK's offices in The News Building (formerly known as the Baby Shard), London Bridge. We are looking for someone who could work in the office at least 4 days a week.
The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and efficient Artworker to join our team, to work on the Times Media business. Times Media brands include The Times, The Sunday Times, Times Radio, the Times Literary Supplement, Times+ and many more. You will be the sole artworker across the Times Media portfolio, alongside a designer and will report into the Head of Design.
You will be responsible for producing high-quality artwork for print materials. You will have a proven track record of working with design concepts, reprographics and print production.
As the sole Artworker on our brand, you will have excellent communication skills, be proactive in monitoring artwork quality, accuracy and consistency. You will have a good working knowledge of digital and print artwork processes and their limitations within the design process.
You will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and be comfortable working under pressure with daily influxes of work.
You will have interactions with clients on occasion and will be comfortable working in a collaborative way.
The ability to do high-end retouching and photo manipulation is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Work from designs or templates to produce artwork to a consistently high standard
- Ensure adherence to brand guidelines and templates
- Possess an in-depth working knowledge of colour profiles and outputs
- Have an excellent understanding of the production cycle and print technology and know their limitations
- Prepare artwork for print, pre-production, and flight checking
- Have excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – principally InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Be a good team player, able communicator and have strong time management skills
- Possess good knowledge of IT and server systems
- Experience of working on Outdoor, Press, Direct Mail, Point of Sale, and general print work
