Responsible to: Managing Director

Responsible for producing print-ready artwork across arrange of media from design concept through to print production, liaising directly with B2B clients on artwork and working closely with Production, Operations and Sales for timely project delivery.

Acting in accordance with all Proper Goose policies, procedures, and training.

Principle Duties

Artwork

Work closely with Sales, Operations and Production following designs and artwork from conception to final sign off
Curate and create corporate designs following a clients brief across a range of formats using Adobe Creative Cloud
Create visual concepts and retouch images to ensure they meet print and web standards, such as colour, typography and image libraries
Ensure artwork is consistent, accurate and follows any brand guidelines
Impose variable print files for digital print
Set up, manage and archive accurate artwork files including an in-house image library
Carry out proof checking prior to print
Adapt existing artwork to alternative layouts and / or formats
Work closely with Sales, Operations and Production to ensure projects / orders are delivered in accordance with the project brief
Keep up to date with the latest design trends

Qualifications and training

Essential: Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
Essential: Qualification in graphic design, art & design, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign or equivalent

Work background and experience

Essential: Experience of working in a similar artworker role
Desirable: Experience of working in personalised goods and drop shipping

Particular skills and aptitudes

Essential: Strong retouching and visualisation skills
Essential: Ability to create visual concepts
Essential: Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
Essential: Strong layout, typographical skills and font knowledge
Essential: A methodical approach to work and a meticulous attention to detail

Personal qualities and other requirements

Essential: Engaging and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Essential: Self motivation and the ability to work on multiple projects at once

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
