Entertainments Assistant

The Entertainment Department at the Dalmeny Resort Hotel is recruiting…The Dalmeny Resort is a family-run hotel with a focus on providing quality, safe and fun children’s entertainment for our guests. We are currently looking for multiple candidates to fill multiple roles within the department.

All roles are zero-hours as the focus of our work is during holiday times and weekends, so this role would fit perfectly for someone who is currently in education OR someone who is wanting part time work but available weekends, both mornings and evenings.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Our entertainment schedule covers everything from arts and crafts, sports, pool sessions, food activities and night-time entertainments, and the successful candidate should be ready to get stuck into all aspects of this – but don’t worry, experience isn’t necessary and full training will be provided. So, if you enjoy working with children, being creative and thinking on your feet, get in touch!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

Responsibilities will include but not limited to;

  • Supervising play in our Kidzone
  • Assisting and occasionally leading craft activities in the Craftzone
  • Assisting and occasionally leading sports activities
  • Preparing materials for sessions and cleaning down after sessions
  • Assisting with the set-up of the ballroom
  • Assisting with night-time children’s entertainment
  • General upkeep of Entertainments areas
  • Maintaining the cleaning standards within the department
  • Encouraging guest involvement with the scheduled entertainment
  • Occasional character work

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of working with children
  • Previous stage/performing experience
  • Crafting skills
  • Knowledge of safeguarding

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: Up to £9.50 per hour
