Job Title: Summer Student: Ice Cream Production Crew Member
Location: Penobsquis, New Brunswick, Canada
Job Type: Summer, Full-time
Salary: $15/Hr
Reports To: General Manager and Production Supervisor
Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Ice Cream Production Crew Member to join our team in Penobsquis, New Brunswick. This is a summer student position. The successful candidate will be responsible for mixing, producing, and packaging our premium ice cream products while maintaining a safe and clean working environment. You will work under the supervision of the Production Supervisor and General Manager to ensure high-quality products are produced efficiently.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all health and safety protocols.
- Accurately record all necessary data in proper documentation.
- Report any concerns or issues to the Production Supervisor.
- Prepare packaging materials and ensure workstations are stocked with adequate ingredients and tools.
- Follow standardized recipes to mix ice cream with inclusions, monitor extrusion, and package ice cream products.
- Transfer ice cream products to blast freezer for storage.
- Clean and sanitize the facility to start the day, end of day, and at the end of the week.
- Assist in other tasks as needed when production days are slower.
Qualifications:
- Must be a high school student or enrolled in a secondary education program.
- Prior experience in food processing is preferred but not required.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet production goals.
- Positive attitude, approachable, and a team player.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with others.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
