Art Psychotherapist/ Art Counsellor/therapist
We are also open to taking on candidates who are in their final year of study to work on special assisted projects.
This role is to work with vulnerable young people using Art therapy.
Youth development services: weekly contract 2-12 hours variable hours.
The Role
This dynamic part time role will give you a chance to work with young people who are experiencing mental health difficulties in a youth based setting showcasing your skills offering one to one sessions or small group sessions that are ART based.
This role will be in and around the Hertfordshire county council area working with young people.

To be considered for this role, please have the following:
Qualifications:
- Art Psychotherapy/Counselling/therapist qualification or working towards.
Experience:
- Experience in working with a range of mental health conditions
- Experience in motivating and offering intervention for young people experiencing difficulty
- Experience in delivering ART therapy on a one-to-one basis for young people
- Present in small groups using different ART techniques and ways of working
- Be able to use own initiative and utilise opportunity
Knowledge:
- Evidence of continuing professional development
Skills:
- To be able to work alone effectively and competently
- To be flexible and adaptive to change
- To use own initiative
- Experienced working with young people who have declining mental health
- To be motivated to develop and learn
- To be interested in innovation and change with the service
