Art and Design Technician – East London – September 2023 Start - Outstanding School
A successful and high achieving East London Secondary School are seeking an Art and Design Technician to join their team from September 2023 supporting both staff and students at key stages 3-5. This is a full time role working 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only. The pay for this role is £13-£16 per hour.
About the role:
The successful Art and Design Technology Technician will be a reliable, flexible and self motivated professional with substantial experience in Art and Design.
Duties will include:
- Preparing materials and equipment for use in lessons
- Ensuring efficient organisation of materials and equipment
- Sharing high expectations for pupil progress
- Providing technical support within the classroom including working alongside students
- To undertake basic record keeping as directed
- To assist the teacher with learning activities ensuring health and safety and good behaviour of pupils
- To monitor and arrange orderly and secure storage of supplies
- To assist with corridor and classroom display board upkeep
- Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security and confidentiality, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
