The Role (Lecturer - Art & Design - Start date August 2023)
£29,196 - £42,487 (pro rata for part time) Including London Weighting Allowance
We are looking for exceptional people like you to join our team within a friendly and supportive environment as a Lecturer in Art & Design on a fixed term, part time basis. We truly value our staff who have a key role in supporting and developing our students to achieve their goals. The Art & Design lecturer will be teaching units that include elements of Creative and Fine Arts, Graphic Design and Photography.
As a Lecturer in Art & Design you will be an integral part of the Creative Digital Industries curriculum area, delivering courses from Level 1 up to and including at Level 3, ensuring that you meet budget, quality and operational targets. You will deliver high quality, learner-focused education providing a secure and friendly environment in order for your students to succeed. In your role you will plan, lead and develop the curriculum area within the department to ensure compliance with the national curriculum framework, the integration of English and maths, best practice and quality targets.
Fixed term contract until July 2024 - 30 hours per week
Please note: The successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Skills and Experience
The ability to deliver excellence in teaching and learning. Ability to relate to and motivate students from a variety of backgrounds and ages, and to employ effective teaching strategies.
- Candidate will hold a recognised teaching qualification (Diploma in Education and Training (DET) or equivalent);
- English and Maths - must be qualified to a minimum of Level 2
- A demonstrable track record of effective teaching and delivering in the subject specialism.
