6 Regiment is the only Aviation Reserve Regiment within the MOD and is tasked is to deliver the required number of appropriately and imaginatively trained, highly motivated aviation groundcrew with available resources, to deliver Force and individuals fit for mobilisation.
As part of that team, you will be exposed to a varied and diverse group of individuals from across all walks of life which form the reserve world.
You will be working within a Small and close knit team which is structured to support all aspects of the training and recruiting environments that the Regiment Operates in, this work is high tempo, challenging but rewarding when done well.

Job description
The role of the Senior Storekeeper within 6 Regiment Army Air Corps is a unique and challenging role as you form a key part of a very small, but vital logistic team that provides 6 Regiment personnel with all its logistical needs to provide trained soldiers to the Regular Force. This role covers several responsibilities within the department and across the many dispersed Regimental locations.
The following roles form the bulk of the work parameters but are not exhaustive, they are:
Clothing, Expense, Fuel Management, COSHH and Laundry.
However, working within this small team is enjoyable and rewarding with plenty of avenues for Personnel development within the Civil Service to enhance your opportunities to expand your working experience and allow for future opportunities.
- Mentor the output of 2 x Squadron Skill Zone 2 Storekeepers
- Control & manage the *M Acct (Expense & Clothing)
- Be qualified with Management of the Joint Deployed Inventory(MJDI) (Materiel Accountant)
- Manage and control the Laundry System
- Be Responsible for the Fuels & Lubricants (*F Acct)
- Be qualified as a Workplace Supervisor (Radioactive Materials)
- Assistant Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
- QM’s Department Dangerous Goods Consignor.
- Any other task as directed by the Quartermaster 6 Regt AAC.
