Job summary
The Infantry Training Centre (ITC) delivers Infantry basic training and initial trade training and is based in Catterick Garrison. The ITC consists of three units; 1 and 2 Infantry Training Battalions (ITB) and a Support Battalion all collocated along with Headquarters School of Infantry. 1 and 2 ITB undertake the Combat Infantry Course (CIC) for all recruits who wish to join the Infantry regular and reserve. The ITC also commands Pegasus Company (which delivers P Coy), the Army School of Ceremonial, and the Army School of Bagpipe Music and Highland Drumming (based in Edinburgh).
We deliver training which covers everything from developing a civilian arriving with no military experience into a trained, confident Infantry soldier, to instructing people to play the Bagpipes.
Whilst military training is undertaken by highly skilled and experienced members of the Army, we are supported by almost 200 Ministry of Defence (MOD) Civil Servants along with a number of Defence contractors. We are in roles from drivers to HR Clerks and storekeepers to tutors.

Job description
As the External Resources Coordinator in the Training Office, you will have overall responsibility for the requesting, verification and resource management of all external ranges and training areas for ITC course outputs.
Flexibility and good organisational skills will be required.
Person specification
Duties:
- Responsible for de-conflicting, requesting, verification and subsequent management of all external ranges and training areas for ITC Catterick using the Bidding and Allocation Management System (BAMS).
- Organise alternate range / dry training solutions when the original allocations are lost to higher priority units. Make programme changes where necessary in order to facilitate change ensuring training teams are kept informed.
- Make amendments / additions / cancellations to training and resource requirements and accurately reflect this information on an Excel document.
- Routinely revisit all training programmes to ensure all external ranges and training areas have a suitable resource allocated.
- Liaise with Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) in order to ensure ITC training objectives can be met effectively on the allocated training resource.
- Act as the ITC liaison point of contact with DIO.
- Use internal management documents and systems to record all changes to prioritised resources so that the correct resource is allocated to the training activity and that all ITC team members are notified of any changes.
Desirable Requirements:
- IT Literate in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Proficient in the use of the Bidding and Allocation Management System (BAMS).
- Proficient and familiar with Training Administration and Financial Management Information System (TAFMIS).
- Familiarity with Defence Systems Approach to Training, Course Programming.

Selection process details
Applications will be sifted on all Behaviours, but in the event of a significant number of applications, an initial sift will be conducted on the lead 1 or 2 Elements / Behaviours:

In this instance the remaining elements will be tested at interview.
Please note that it is essential that your personal statement (500 words) is aligned to provide evidence that you have the knowledge and recent practical experience for each of the following selection criteria in your application:

- Ability to work efficiently and as part of a team towards individual and collective goals.
At application you will be assessed against the following:

At interview you will be assessed against the above along with the following:

Application sifting is scheduled to take place within 1 week of closing date, with interviews to follow thereafter.
Interviews will be held in Vimy Barracks, Catterick Garrison, DL9 3PS, any changes to this will be sent to candidates if selected for interview. A minimum of 2 full working days notice will be given. We endeavour to stick to these dates, but these are subject to change around business needs.
