Area Sales Manager

Location: Mersey

Basic salary of £38,000 + car allowance + highly competitive commission structure

Everest is a leader in the Home Improvements sector, and due to recent restructuring we have an exciting opportunity available for an Area Sales Manager, on a full-time, permanent bases, working field based for the Mersey area covering Blackburn, Liverpool and surrounding areas.

As an Area Sales Manager you will achieve sales and performance targets through the effective coaching, development and management of a field based team of Sales Consultants. You will create a sales culture which is driven, competitive, loyal and customer centric by ensuring the Sales Consultants within your area represent Everest in a professional and brand-enhancing way, at each sales appointment.

What you will be doing

The key accountabilities and responsibilities of our Area Sales Mangers centre around, Performance and Deliverables, People Management and Customer Experience.

These include the following:

  • Being accountable for delivering sales revenue targets, ensuring high performing Sales Consultations which result in excellent lead-to-sale conversion rates.
    Ensuring that your team deliver high quality, technically accurate and customer centric product demonstrations.
  • Upholding the behaviours and standards detailed in our Customer Charter and the Treating Customers Fairly principles.
  • Identifying best practice from Sales Consultants across a range of performance metrics including low cancellation rates and coach and mentor your team accordingly.
  • Being responsible for sustainable growth of your Area by taking full advantage of all marketing initiatives, and by ensuring all consultants are fully briefed on current promotions.
  • Being accountable for seeking out opportunities to gain reliable and relevant local market insight that will assist in developing specific sales plans and better enable informed decision making.
  • Identifying and preventing sub-optimal or unethical selling practices within the Area and take appropriate steps to eliminate these behaviours.
  • Being responsible for maintaining adequate number and competence of Sales Consultants within your Area.
  • Continually reviewing the actions and activities of each Sales Consultant, ensuring that they are being fully supported using the performance management tools and that these are being used to drive and achieve performance improvement at an individual and Area level.
  • Leading by example and act as an ambassador for the Everest brand.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience achieving and exceeding targets within a previous Sales position.
  • Experience in, or aspirations to, manage or lead others within a Sales environment.
  • A customer-centric approach to work.
  • Exceptional listening, questioning and communication skills.
  • Ability to coach and mentor others confidently.
  • A highly self-motivated and target-driven mindset, with the ability to motivate and encourage others.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales efficiently.
  • A true ‘people person’, able to influence, develop relationships and inspire others.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Due to this being a field-based role with extensive travel a full Driving License is required.
