We are looking for an Area Sales Manager to join the East GBI region.
This field-based position covers the following post code areas around South London : TW, W, SW, SE, CR and BR.
The successful candidate must be flexible as the role is home based with travel throughout all mentioned postcode areas.
As part of our dedicated and dynamic sales force, you’ll have the opportunity to develop and grow relevancy for our products and VELUX market share within your area.

This position will suit you if
Identifying and winning new customers and business gets you out of bed in the morning
You enjoy the buzz and demand from managing a high performing area
You’re comfortable working across a diverse portfolio of customer types and you’re able to adapt your approach dependent on customer type and requirements. This role would be focussed on VELUX installers, merchants and specifiers
You’re able to increase product relevancy through your interactions with installers
You can grow relationships throughout a wide customer base, from top-to-bottom within an organisation
You’re comfortable taking full ownership and accountability for your own geographical area in both planning and performance
You have passion and determination with an outlook that sees opportunities and solutions where others may see problems
You can adapt to change and see the benefit in doing things differently to achieve goals
You can use data to drive your decision making and develop an area strategy to deliver on business objectives
You understand the importance of embracing a CRM within a data led sales culture
You are committed to self-improvement and development through interactions with managers and colleagues
You see the value in fully engaging with VELUX marketing activities, and you can bring your customer along on the journey by translation of key marketing messages
You can embrace and build relationships with the wider team through virtual contact as well as the ability to work on your own initiative
You can demonstrate a track record of selling, with your relationship building both internally and externally being a factor in your success
You want to fully immerse yourself in the VELUX history, culture, procedures and products - taking pride in being an ambassador for the company
What we ask
Competent with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & CRM
Field sales experience - it would be advantageous if this were within the construction industry, but this is not a requirement - if you feel you have relevant transferable experience, we would love to hear from you !
Customer account management experience, and a demonstrable track record of sales ability
Key Account Management capability, with sound commercial awareness
First class communication skills, written and verbal, as well as the ability to communicate clearly with both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to prospect
Hands on customer service experience
Capable of problem solving in a sales capacity
Self-disciplined with good time management - managing the flexibility of working from home, travel throughout the area and being able to prioritise your activities
A full driving licence allowing you to drive in the UK
A passport, as travel out with normal base location will occasionally be required - such as to attend regional sales meetings
