Restaurant Starbucks
The Tahir Group has been in existence since 1979 when the first KFC was acquired in North East London. Since then, the group have grown considerably to over 46 sites across multiple brands from KFC, Starbucks and German Doner Kebab. The Group is also a Residential and Commercial Landlord and Developer.
An Area Coach works within the Operations team and will be responsible for between 3 restaurants and leads that relevant team reporting to the Operations Manager.
The focus of the Area Coach role is to provide transformational leadership and high impact coaching in order to support their team to achieve overall unit performance across the four key metrics Sales, Profit, People and Customer Satisfaction. This role will require commercial acumen and the ability to think beyond the core operational elements in order to effectively lead and inspire a team to achieve breakthrough results.
The Role:
The role will require a strong leadership ability to ensure their area has the potential to exceed and grow therefore as an Area Coach, the successful individual will be on a development path to ensure they have the tools and skills required to deliver this.
Staffing & Scheduling
· Ensure the right partners are in the right place at the right times required undertaking the right work responsibilities.
· Ensure rota reflects peak periods to ensure speed of service and customer satisfaction.
· Reviewing labour and monitoring rotas/schedules by looking at labour spend vs target spend daily.
· Reviewing like for like sales taking into consideration any external circumstances as comparison and incorporate any training requirements needed including improving capability.
Training & Development
· Support and Coach Store Managers in Management Training via Starbucks modules and then personal One 2 Ones and developing capability and performance.
· Review all employees training tracker and training completion rates.
· Complete Starbucks assessment paperwork in each store, CEV, Store walk through, BROT’s and provide feedback to employees.
· Support internal progression to support team knowledge and succession plan.
· Ensure all stores up to date with health and food safety policies and actions.
· Ensure fire drill undertaken twice a year in each Store.
· Ensure risk assessments are carried out in each Store.
Sales
· Review forecast sales for week and how these will be achieved.
· Go through Store Manager business plan, how they will drive sales.
· Review upsell targets and Playbook for implementation and BSC for daily/weekly results.
· Weekly summary including BSC and evaluation of figures.
· Review 2pm performance and act as a result, any ways to drive or support sales.
· Review weekly performance against forecast and LY performance.
· Analyse sales impacts good/bad and what learnt from week.
Inventory
· Review weekly COGS, ensure stores achieve weekly target.
· Ensure sufficient stock ordered in each store to reflect business needs and par levels.
· Follow up on Store Manager review of sales performance and how they can improve upon.
· Review orders to ensure costs are in line in all areas and only necessary items purchased.
· Ensure critical items are not run out of as impact on sales and brand reputation.
Ops/Brand Standards
· Complete quarterly QASA Audit.
· Complete quarterly cash audit.
· Assess customer opinion via online reviews and store walk throughs.
· Ensure cash procedures followed and weekly banking has been completed.
· Assess DRN completion and follow up with Store Manager.
· Ensure all stores following compliance measures from Starbucks guidance.
HR
· Follow up with H.R procedures and processes.
· Guiding employees on HR queries.
· Monitoring Absence in accordance with new trigger system.
Planning & Business Analysis/Costs
· Control costs through communicating P&L, discuss and review store food and chemical orders.
· Review with all Store Managers P&L performance, feed back on where can reduce expenditure.
Communication
· Daily BSC completion.
· 2pm sales communication.
· Communicate with all Store Manager for up to date feedback.
Other
· Oversee maintenance issues for all stores and liaise with Handymen.
· Promote the brand where opportunity arises.
· Engage with local communities and charity involvement.
· Get involved with Starbucks events and initiatives.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £35,000.00 per year
