Cinch Self-Storage Area Manager
We are Cinch Self-Storage. From our humble beginnings, with a single store in Bicester in February 2018, we have grown to over 15 self-storage sites across the UK and are expanding steadily. Currently, we're seeking an Area Manager to join our team and manage operations across several of our stores. You will be an essential part of shaping the operational direction and culture of our UK business.

Area Manager Role:
Our core values focus on the customer and team, we believe this is how it should be. An Area Manager should model each of our core values, while leading an exceptional team of Store Managers. A major part of the role is focused on core KPI’s and operations , achieved through building the best team and coaching everybody to do better. Finally, an Area Manager should have the ability to read, and make decisions or recommendations based on, P&L and other internal reports.
Some of the stores that will form part of this area are located in Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Greater London.

- Drive revenue through operational efficiency and motivating team members. Motivation will be a key factor in how you lead the Store Managers who are the cornerstone of the business. How you lead will be directly reflected in your operational results.
- Ability to hit deadlines. This can sometimes be a fast-paced environment. We are seeking an Area Manager who is organised, focused and able to hit deadlines. We never stop moving forward and we are looking for somebody to take on the journey with us.
- Be skilled and learner focused. Being an Area Manager requires a core set of skills.
Whether or not you come from a self-storage background, we are looking for somebody who possesses a wide range of IT skills from Excel and PowerPoint, while having the ability to learn our internal range of software and systems. We encourage our teams to never stop learning.
Let’s talk about you!
We are looking for candidate with previous Area Manager experience. The right candidate has previous experience with KPI and target setting and is comfortable delivering direct written and oral feedback, but not be afraid to get their hands dirty whenever necessary. This will be a very hands-on role, with frequent customer interactions. We are looking for a true leader who can inspire their team, while driving the company culture and ethos in everything they do. You will have had plenty of experience leading and coaching a team to deliver improved performance and increased sales. Excellent verbal and written communications skills is a must.
Other requirements and qualifications include:
- 3+ years of Area Manager/ multi-site operations experience.
- Exceptional communication and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of/familiar with IT systems, including Microsoft Office 365 and an openness to learn our other systems and software's.
- Experience with KPI setting, related to revenue, growth and performance across multiple sites.
- Independent-minded, with the ability to work hard and achieve results with minimal supervision.
- Willing to travel to designated stores across the region frequently.
- Supporting the delivery of the company’s vision and operations plan.
- Experience with recruitment, onboarding, coaching, developing and leading a strong team. Succession planning, while driving retention will be a key part of this role.
- Self-storage Area Manager experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
- As this role will require travel, a license and vehicle are a must.
