Chase Taylor Recruitment are currently working with a well-established, successful door company who are currently looking to recruit an experienced Area Sales Manager to join their team. The right candidate with have current or recent experience as a Business Development Manager/ Sales Manager /Area Sales Manager within the window and door industry.
The role:
- Creating, negotiating and closing commercial agreements and be instrumental in de-vising and implementing the strategy for meeting sales performance targets
- Individual responsibility for new business; self - managed but being part of a wider sales team.
- Managing & maintaining a sales pipeline within the area covered.
- Building relationships with existing clients in the attempt to increase current spend.
- Understanding of customer and volumes in sales by period.
- Accountability for accounts – provide solutions to market challenges.
- Understanding of sales value per customer to ensure they are reaching budgeted targets,
- Providing confident presentations to customers
- Manage product/service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims
- Contribute to overall strategy development for the business.
The candidate:
- Must have current or recent experience in a sales role within the window and door industry
- Proven track record in sales, business development and winning new business
- Forward thinking and sales driven
- Confident negotiator and ability to “close the deal”
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- An understanding of the UK trade / retail window and door market sector
